New Delhi: We are only days away from the
Thor: Love and Thunder premier and fans can’t wait for the on-screen
Marvel magic once again. With actors like
Chris Hemsworth and
Natalie Portman coming together and that too in their best form, fans want to know more about what the team did behind the scenes to bulk up so impressively. Turns out, the team munched on a
healthy snack that supported their efforts to build a
muscular physique.
The cast of
Thor had to go miles down the intense
workout road in order to build a more muscular physique. Although Hemsworth is no stranger to the ultra-high-intensity regime, Portman too appeared to have spent a lot of time trying to achieve the wow factor in her physique for this film. On the diet front, the actor had one thing in common – their love for
almonds as a snack.
Why almonds were the snacking choice for team Thor?
The brown-on-the-outside and white inside nut not only has a pleasing taste but is also blessed with several health benefits due to a unique nutrition profile. Not only do they induce weight loss, but eating a handful of almonds daily could also reduce wrinkles and support muscle-building efforts. One ounce of almonds contains 4 grams of fibre, vitamin E, magnesium, and 6 grams of plant protein. But that’s not where it ends. Hemsworth alone ate 10 in a day to prep for the film.
The team of Thor also included almond butter and milk in their daily regime. Almond butter, experts say, contains seven times more calcium than peanut butter thereby making it a must for strong bones and hypertension woes.
Portman, too, enjoyed lots of almonds throughout the shoot along with
almond milk, carrots and lots of plant-based protein shakes.
