Senior Services started October with ways to stay fit.
Davie Senior Games participants headed to Winston-Salem to learn how to play mini-golf at Adventure Landing. Mini golf was added to the list of Senior Games activities in which to compete locally and state wide. Participants had such a great time that many of them stayed to play an additional game.
The bowling league is going strong. The SilverStrikers meet each Monday at Creekside Lanes in Winston-Salem. The teams are battling in friendly competition to win the coveted bowling trophy at the end of the season. The next bowling season will begin in January, and Senior Services invites all interested in bowling to keep a look out for more information coming up on the winter league.
