Persia Pirotta in Bathing Suit Says “SDL” — Celebwell

Wrestling champion Persia Pirotta, also known as Steph De Lander, is no stranger to keeping fit and staying strong. As if to prove it, De Lander just posted a new swimsuit photo on social media. In it, she posed in a black, white, and gray leopard print bathing suit. She captioned the post, “SDL”—her initials. How does she stay so fit? Being a wrestler, De Lander has to eat a healthy diet. However, she revealed on Twitter in May 2020, that she was trying something new. De Lander wrote that she was trying a calorie surplus approach when it comes to eating. “I am in a purposeful calorie surplus for the first time in my life, which means I am actively eating more calories than I am burning, in order to gain muscle (and minimal fat). Not ‘dieting’ for the first time in years has been therapeutic and I wish I had reverse dieted earlier.”

In 2018, De Lander had surgery on her shoulder. As a part of her recovery, she did a lot of strength training. She posted this photo on Instagram of herself lifting a weight, and revealed her approach to recovery in the caption. “9 months ago I had surgery on this shoulder, and today I landed in the USA to make my return here. When life throws a curveball at you, set goals & smash the hell out of them. It will all come together in the end, I promise.”

De Lander loves to do outdoor activities to stay in shape. One thing she likes to do is bike ride. She posted this photo of herself going for a ride in sunny Santa Monica. She captioned the photo, “On my way to steal your girl.” “It reduces stress and depression. Feel good chemicals called endorphins are released with exercise and this will cause your self-esteem and confidence to improve. Getting out in nature and feeling the fresh outdoor air and breeze against your face is very good for the spirit. You can enjoy the great outdoors as you pedal along, appreciating the beauty of the sunrise, sunset, as well as a close-up view to wildlife, flowers and plants,” says Methodist.

De Lander trains with wrestler Madison Eagles. She talked about the process in this interview with Rev Services. “Madison Eagles is terrifying. She was as terrifying on the first day I met her, as she is this week. She’s just one of those people where she has that presence that she’s someone important, she walks in the room and everyone in the room just stops because you know that someone special is there. So being able to be around her and learn from her constantly is constantly intimidating. But I think it’s because that you are so lucky, like there are so many wrestlers in the world that would love to train with Madison for one week, and we get to train with her day in and day out and we get her knowledge and we get her experience. I feel like I’ve stumbled upon gold being able to learn underneath Madison.”

De Lander doesn’t skip leg day. In fact, she doesn’t even need to go to the gym to do it. De Lander posted this video on Instagram of her go-to leg workouts. She is seen doing side walks, leg lifts, and thigh exercises with a resistance band, and lunges with weights. She captioned the video, “Apartment leg day.” “You have many different muscles in your upper and lower leg. Together, these muscles help you walk, run, jump, stand on your toes and flex your feet (lift your toes up toward your knee). Your leg muscles work with your bones, tendons and ligaments to stabilize your body, support your weight and help you move,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Muscle strains (tearing or stretching a muscle too far) in the legs are common injuries. They often result from strenuous exercise or overuse. To keep your leg muscles strong, you should warm up before physical activity. By maintaining a healthy weight and focusing on staying healthy overall, you can keep your leg muscles working properly.”
