The UFC’s jaw-dropping ring girls blew kisses to fans on Saturday night but forgot which event they were at.
Two title fights headlined the UFC 275 card at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang as fans were treated to a bumper night of mixed martial arts action. In addition to the fights, fans were also wowed by ring girls Red Dela Cruz, Camila Oliveira, Carly Baker, Kristie Pearson and Kahili Blundell between rounds.
However, Dela Cruz suffered the embarrassment of mistakenly welcoming viewers to the wrong event when she said “Hey guys, UFC 257” as they waved and blew kisses to fans.
UFC 257 instead took place in Abu Dhabi in January last year and was headlined by the rematch between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, with Poirier winning via a second round technical knockout.
After Dela Cruz’s error, Oliveira quickly added “Let’s start now” before the camera panned across to the rest of the ring girls, who were sat in the front row next to the Octagon.
The ring girls paraded their round cards and watched on throughout a pulsating night of fights, which concluded with Jiri Prochazka becoming the Czech Republic’s first UFC champion.

Prochazka claimed the light-heavyweight strap with a rear-naked choke submission victory over Glover Teixeira with just 28 seconds remaining in the fifth and final round of their bout, which earned the Fight of the Night bonus.
That came after women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko had defended her title for the seventh time by defeating Taila Santos via split decision in the co-main event.
Earlier in the night, former women’s strawweight champions Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Zhang Weili met in a rematch of their 2020 fight of the year, which left Jedrzejczyk’s face disfigured.
Zhang claimed a Performance of the Night bonus by knocking Jedrzejczyk out in the second round, with the Polish fighter announcing her retirement inside the Octagon following the fight.
During the event, it was also announced that a welterweight championship bout between champion Kamaru Usman and number two ranked contender Leon Edwards will headline UFC 278 in Salt Lake City on August 20.
