When Mississippi State opens the 2022 season in September, fans won’t have any problems recognizing familiar names in the starting lineup. After all, the Bulldogs return 18 starters and have the SEC’s highest returning production this fall.
But in order to improve on last year’s showing, there’s still several Bulldogs that need to take a step forward. Some could be in new starting roles while others will see increased reps in the rotation at their respective position.
Back in spring ball, we did witness several players put their best foot forward and display improvement. Now the key is to carry that momentum into Mike Leach’s third season at Mississippi State.
